Books by Olympia Snowe, Ross Perot on the way

Sen. Olympia Snowe, R-Maine, plans to leave Congress with some parting words. The retiring Republican has inked a deal with Weinstein Books for a book, due next spring, that details Snowe’s unhappiness with an increasingly partisan Washington.

“We are constantly mired in ideological, philosophical debates with no solution,” she told the AP. The three-term senator had bemoaned the disappearance of the “sensible center” when she announced her retirement in February.

Readers looking for additional political prose can also look forward to Ross Perot’s forthcoming autobiography, “Ross Perot: My Life.” It is unclear how this will differ from his previous book, “Ross Perot: My Life & the Principles for Success.”
