Congressman benefits from Pens-Caps rivalry

The Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins have a pretty intense rivalry when it comes to hockey, so what better way to capitalize on that here in Washington than with a political fundraiser. Rep. Mark Critz, D-Pa., is doing just that next week when the Pens comes to town to play the Caps at the Verizon Center Wednesday, according to the Sunlight Foundation’s Party Time blog. (Critz’s district is just outside Pittsburgh, in case there’s any question of where the congressman’s allegiances lie). The game is sure to be intense, with tickets to the fundraiser going for between $1,000 and $1,500.
