Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton declined to attack rival Bernie Sanders on Sunday.
Sanders has said that he has his “doubts” about what kind of president Clinton would be. But Clinton said she didn’t worry about the Vermont senator like he does about her.
“I’d take him over Donald Trump or Ted Cruz any day,” Clinton said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
“I don’t have anything negative to say about him,” she said.
“People know that I will be a president who will follow through on what I’ve said,” Clinton added. “I want to unify our country.”
Clinton did respond to Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver’s claim that Clinton-style foreign policy helped create the Islamic State.
Clinton called that claim “beyond absurd.”
Sanders’ team is “saying a lot of things these days,” Clinton said. “I’m just going to let them say what they choose to say.”
