Reporter FOIAs Obama for Jon Snow info

In a bid for transparent government, or to learn about spoilers, a reporter wants President Obama to divulge the fate of popular “Game of Thrones” character Jon Snow.

But when it comes to the Freedom of Information Act and the Obama administration, she knows nothing.

A recent report found that the Obama administration denied a record 77 percent of FOIA requests.

The move from Vanessa Golembewski of refinery29.com comes a few days after the popular HBO show’s producers said that Obama got screeners of the series.

“If the president — and by extension, our government — is in possession of a file, surely that file is subject to my request to see it as a U.S. citizen.”

The news even caused a White House petition to force Obama to unveil the fate of Jon Snow, played by Kit Harrington.

The man behind the petition, Chris Owens, told the Washington Examiner he wasn’t trying to make any political statement.

He added that he wouldn’t be too crushed if the petition doesn’t get the 100,000 signatures needed to warrant a response from the administration. As of 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, it only has 57 signatures.

Golembewski also wasn’t confident about her efforts to get an answer to her FOIA request.

“I know it’s a stretch,” she wrote. “Firstly, I’m not entirely sure where the ‘Game of Throne’s screeners fall in the grey area that is personal property of a government figure. Secondly, there’s a bunch of red tape around the kinds of things you can request in a FOIA.”

Game of Thrones’ sixth season premieres on April 24.
