Romney: Hillary Clinton and President Obama ‘two peas in the same pod’

Mitt Romney criticized Hillary Clinton’s qualifications for the presidency in an interview Sunday, calling President Obama and his former secretary of state “two peas in the same pod.”

Romney said Clinton deserves equal criticism for Obama’s foreign policy, while questioning whether she has the executive experience necessary to run the U.S. government, which he described as “the largest enterprise in the world.” Clinton has yet to formally announce for president in 2016 but is already the favorite to win the Democratic nomination.

“You’ve watched a president who doesn’t understand how to make an administration work, how to interact with Congress, how to get things done. You have to have those things, and I don’t think Hillary Clinton has that experience,” Romney said during an appearance on “Fox News Sunday.” “I look, for instance, at her record as secretary of state. Look, her record is Barack Obama’s record in foreign policy, and it’s a disaster. The president went to Egypt and said we’re going to have this new, wonderful relationship with the Muslim world, and now the Middle East is burning.”

Obama, Romney added, “won’t even call the invasion by Russia in the Ukraine and invasion. If you can’t speak decisively, you can’t be decisive.”
