Showtime’s award-winning drama “Homeland” has its fair share of fans, but it looks like the show has also caught the eye of several high-profile Washington insiders. According to the Hollywood Reporter, President Obama requested and received at least four sets of the show’s season-one episodes on DVD — as did a Bill Clinton staffer who contacted Showtime’s PR department to request a set of DVDs for the former president. Also, ABC’s Diane Sawyer put in a request for the DVDs in time for her holiday vacation with husband Mike Nichols. Meanwhile, fans both in and out of the Oval Office will get to see more of Claire Danes and co-star Damian Lewis in the second season of the show, which will feature more international locations as well, according to producers Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa.
