20,000 Trump scarves recalled for putting consumers at risk of being burned

Add Trump scarves to the list of businesses linked to Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump that have experienced problems.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission on Wednesday recalled scarves made by Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, for not meeting federal flammability standards.

About 20,000 Ivanka Trump scarves in two styles called Beach Wave and Brushstroke Oblong need to be recalled because they pose “a burn risk,” the commission reported.

According to the notice, no one has been hurt by flaming scarves, but they’re not taking any chances. Customers who have bought the scarves should return them to the place where they were purchased for a full refund. Online customers will be contacted by retailers for information on how to return them.

The Ivanka Trump Scarves are sold at Century 21, Lord & Taylor, Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Stein Mart stores, as well as online at Amazon and Loehmanns. They cost between $12-$68.

The scarves, which bear the Trump heiress’ name on a black label, are made in China.

A number of Trump-branded businesses have gone bankrupt or failed during the real estate mogul’s career, including Trump Water, Trump Vodka, Trump Steaks and Trump University.
