We doubt if it’s worth much besides bragging rights, but George Clooney became the first Hollywood A-lister to arrive in town for the inauguration, a full week early. Clooney arrived at Dulles on Tuesday with a two-police escort and a VIP escort from the airline. Mr. Cool himself is also scheduled to appear at the Newseum on Jan. 26, which raises the question: Will he be here for a full two weeks?
In other celeb news, that was actress Meredith Baxter dining with PhRMA’s Ken Johnson at the District Chophouse on Tuesday. The former “Family Ties” star was in town to film an episode of the drug lobby’s “Sharing Miracles” series, in which celebs discuss their battles with illness. Baxter is a breast cancer survivor.
