Visiting New York City? Now, one can enjoy a new view of the city.
The One World Trade Center observatory officially opens to the public Friday, which will be highlighted with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m.
Visiting the observatory will provide a view of the city and its surroundings from about 1,250 feet, stretching 50 miles past the Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty to the Atlantic Ocean. The observatory is on the 100th, 101st and 102nd floors.
Tickets, which are available online, cost $32 for adults and $26 for children, ages 6 to 12. Relatives of those who died on Sept. 11 and those who worked in the rescue and recovery will be admitted for free.
Officials expect roughly 4 million visitors annually.
The One Would Trade Center stands as the nation’s tallest building, at 1,776 feet.
