Rosie O’Donnell names dark lord: Trump is ‘like Lord Voldemort’

Rosie O’Donnell broke out every pop culture reference she could think of to describe Donald Trump and the presidential race.

Appearing on WABC Radio’s “Election Central with Rita Cosby,” O’Donnell called the 2016 election cycle an “epic battle worthy of a new ‘Star Wars’ movie” before, as is customary because of their decade-long feud, bashing GOP front-runner Trump.

“You have to decide. Are you going to be with the force or are you going to be on the dark side?” O’Donnell said. “It’s your choice. Just like Harry Potter, he’s like Lord Voldemort. You know to stay away from the dementor.”

This is an even more viscious invocation of the Dark Lord’s name to attack Trump than the time Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling tweeted that “Voldemort was nowhere near as bad” as the billionaire mogul.

O’Donnell went on to call Trump an “uneducated bully, serial liar and a misogynist,” and praised Fox News personality Megyn Kelly for forcing him to confront his past history of sexism.

“The only person who had the guts to stand up to him about it was Megyn Kelly,” O’Donnell said. “Megyn Kelly was a superhero, fighter for the truth when she said that, and he revealed who he was with his answer.”

She then compared Trump to a famous fictional mobster.

“He is the worst representation of what the United States is or could be,” O’Donnell said. “He is everything we should reject as a nation. He’s like a bully for the mafia. Like he thinks that he can shut you up, like he’s Tony Soprano.”

There was no love lost between O’Donnell and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz either.

“He’s not worth my time to pay attention to,” she said. “He seems even, if possible, more dangerous than Donald Trump because he’s an actual politician. He’s dangerous, as well.”

Finally, O’Donnell made her presidential pick: former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

“She will win and Bernie Sanders will concede,” she said. “She will ask him to help her to get to the White House, which is the goal that will protect all of humanity as well as the nation’s reputation.”
