Looking ahead to 2016, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio will return to New Hampshire in the beginning of October.
Rubio will visit the first-primary state to campaign with Senate candidate Scott Brown.
It’s widely assumed Rubio will endorse Brown during his Oct. 7 visit, something he didn’t do when he was in New Hampshire this past May, according to the New Hampshire Journal. That visit in May was Rubio’s first trip to New Hampshire in two years.
Rubio will then return to Amherst later in October to campaign with Marilinda Garcia, a GOP House candidate.
Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal — both potential 2016 presidential candidates — will also be in New Hampshire over the course of the next few weeks.
A RealClearPolitics average of polls of 2012 Republican presidential nominees puts Perry sixth, Rubio seventh and Jindal tenth in a potential 10-person field.
