The White House on Thursday tried to capitalize on a Buzzfeed tweet that said “Straight Outta Compton” is the most “memetacular film of 2015” by using it to sell the Iran nuclear deal.
Buzzfeed’s story said many celebrities were using the film’s logo to brag about where they come from, even if it’s not Compton. On the website www.straightouttasomewhere.com, anyone can customize the logo from the movie.
The White House then took it to the next level. It used its #IranDeal Twitter account that it’s been using to promote the agreement to broadcast its own version of the customizable meme, and said if the Iran deal gets implemented, Iran would be “straight outta uranium.”
