Donald Trump, angry at voters, media, growls, ‘It’s not worth it’

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump jumped on Twitter late Tuesday morning to complain that voters didn’t give him enough credit for funding his own campaign, and that the press is not covering his campaign fairly.

Trump tweeted that he doesn’t think voters gave him “any credit” for self funding, and said that while he’ll keep doing that, it’s “not worth it.”

Trump also had a few things to say about the press. He said he spent very little in Iowa after being told he couldn’t do well, but still came in second, and said the press has ignored this.

“The media has not covered my long-shot great finish in Iowa fairly,” Trump wrote. “Brought in record voters and got second highest vote total in history!”

In another tweet, he said he would be in New Hampshire later to talk about his “wonderful experience in Iowa and the simultaneous unfair treatment by the media.”

The Iowa caucuses from the previous evening did see record voter turnout, and Trump came in second after most polls showed him essentially tied for first with Ted Cruz.

The results of the contest were widely perceived among the media as a win for Cruz, who finished in first, and as a smaller victory for Marco Rubio, who finished in third, just one point behind Trump.

Trump’s candidacy, on the other hand, is believed to have suffered a blow, given his oft-repeated claims about being a “winner” and his focus on his standing in polls.
