Sanders trumps Clinton in Oklahoma

Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders won the Sooner State Tuesday night.

Sanders support among lower-income white voters appeared to help him pick up a much needed win in the South and blunt Hillary Clinton’s momentum. The race was called shortly after 9 p.m., and results were expected to trickle in throughout the night.

Clinton led by two percentage points in RealClearPolitics’ average of Oklahoma polling, but Sanders overcame her narrow lead on the 2016 election cycle’s most important day thus far.
