Hamm, Fey party at Four Seasons

Sure, the main event was at the Kennedy Center, but Tina Fey and her merry gang of stars were in and out of the Four Seasons all day Tuesday. Before Fey was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, her buddy Jon Hamm of “Mad Men” fame was spotted sipping Maker’s Mark and eating bar nuts at Bourbon Steak. “It’s very exciting,” he told Yeas & Nays. “I’ve never been to the Kennedy Center before and I’m happy to support [Fey]. She’s been very nice to me and given me a lot of breaks and opportunities, and it’s very nice to be able to celebrate her.”

Shortly after Hamm sat down, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright came into the restaurant. “I don’t think she cares what I do,” Hamm said laughing when Yeas & Nays pointed her out and asked whether she was a fan. We also saw Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler in the lobby, waiting to be transported to the red carpet affair. We missed Jimmy Fallon, but we’re told that when he got his ride to the Kennedy Center, he tipped the driver — a nice move that nobody ever makes, a spy tells us.

After Fey took home the big prize (even thanking Sarah Palin), she returned to her Georgetown redoubt with friends in tow. “Saturday Night Live’s” Fred Armisen was spotted sitting with two women on the patio outside Bourbon Steak. Downstairs sat Betty White with her agent and some friends. Hamm had returned. And, of course, Fey, who had changed out of her glamorous black Oscar de la Renta and into something more casual. They were served fried chicken on biscuits, sliders, french fries, various chocolate “barks” and peanut brittle. There was an open bar.

And don’t think Washingtonians weren’t buzzing around, too. Besides Albright, we caught Al Gore’s former chief of staff Jack Quinn popping into Bourbon Steak and “Real Housewife” Lynda Erkiletian leaving the Four Seasons.
