Police in Washington, D.C., had shut down several blocks early Monday morning due to a “person in mental health crisis.”
DC police shut down several blocks from K through M Streets, and asked commuters to avoid those blocks.

Police later tweeted that there was no shooting involved, as some had claimed on Twitter, and that the subject was contained. But the incident was preventing people from accessing their offices, even on foot, over several blocks during the morning.
Barricade: 19th&K Streets(UPDATE)-No injuries reported, was not an active shooter situation. Subject contained, investigation continuing.

The incident was creating some travel headaches for commuters in cars and buses.
