$4.28 million – The amount that Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin doled out earlier this month for a 5-bed, 7.5-bath estate in McLean, Va., according to the Washington Business Journal. The 11,000 square-foot house was built just last year and comes with spiral staircases, grand fireplaces and some nice wood paneling. Ovi’s new home is more than double the size of his current pad, a 4,800 square-foot house in Arlington he purchased for $1.59 million in 2005.
