Kevin McCarthy to campaign in New York for Elise Stefanik

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy will be campaigning in New York later this month.

McCarthy, R-Calif., will visit Queensbury in support of Elise Stefanik, the Republican candidate for New York’s 21st Congressional District seat, state party officials said Friday.

Stefanik, 30, would become the youngest member of Congress if elected.

She is running against the Democratic nominee, Aaron Woolf, a filmmaker and organic foods “purveyor,” according to the Watertown Daily Times.

Stefanik delivered the weekly Republican address on Oct. 4.

“President Obama has piled on more taxes, more regulations, more debt for future generations and higher health care costs — hurting our Main Street economy,” Stefanik said.

RealClearPolitics has the race listed as “leans GOP.”
