The Duchess of York isn’t letting her disgrace from Britain’s News of the World sting (the scam cam showing she offered to sell access to her ex-husband, Prince Andrew) get in the way of her children’s book series tour in the United States.
Sarah Ferguson is stopping over in our town next month and we’re sure she’ll feel right at home in a city known for its access bribes and scandals.
Ferguson will make an apperance at the American Library Association’s annual conference June 27 to promote the launch of Helping Hands books.
And as expected, her royal visit likely will bring in a slew of paparazzi into the District.
D.C.-based paparazzo Mark Wilkins said he expects 15 to 20 non-credentialed photographers on the streets outside of the event in addition to the regular event photographers. Expect the London-based INF Daily’s gossip guerrillas from New York to be handling the streets, he added.
“It’s going to be pretty huge, it’s going to be crazy when she’s here,” Wilkins told Yeas & Nays.
INF Daily did not respond by time of press about how many paparazzi they plan to send, but Wilkins says he’s heard that three will be in town from that agency alone.
The American Library Association did not respond by time of press on how they plan to deal with paparazzi outside of the event.
