Sampling who will participate in the Republican primary next year, Public Policy Polling surveyed approximately 400 registered Republicans and discovered the majority of them were “birthers” — those that believe President Obama was not born in the US as required under constitutional law.
Despite ample and convincing evidence to the contrary, these people refute that Obama meets the constitutional requirement. Birthers also seem to prefer former VP candidate, Sarah Palin, as eighty-three percent of birthers viewed Palin favorably compared to non-birthers’ forty-seven percent.
