Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie insisted Wednesday that he is the last person Hillary Clinton wants to see on a debate stage in the fall given his previous line of work as a federal prosecutor.
During a town hall in Lebanon, New Hampshire, Christie told voters that he will “beat her rear end” on the stage, adding that she should just be “relieved” that he isn’t handing her a subpoena as the FBI continues to investigate her over her handling of her emails during her State Department tenure.
“You know the last person she wants to see on that stage in September? You’re looking at him,” Christie said. “Why? She’s been running away from federal prosecutors for the last six months.”
“Man, she sees a federal prosecutor on the stage — I’ll beat her rear end on that stage. And you know what? After I do, she’ll be relieved ’cause she’ll just be worried I was going to serve her with a subpoena,” Christie said. “She’ll be relieved just to lose the debate.”
Christie currently sits sixth in New Hampshire with only 6 percent support. He’ll be looking to improve his vote total from Iowa, where he garnered only 2 percent from caucus-goers. Christie is currently seventh in the Washington Examiner‘s presidential power rankings.
