Comedian Tim Allen on Thursday compared the Clintons to a sexually transmitted infection that just doesn’t go away.
“The Clintons are like herpes: Just when you think they’re gone, they show up again,” Allen told The Hollywood Reporter.
The “Last Man Standing” star said that when he asked the women on his show’s writing staff if they would vote for Clinton just because she was a woman, “they all said yes.”
“So then the question was, ‘So if Sarah Palin was the female?’ They all choked and they had to say, ‘Oh God, yes, we’d vote for her,'” he said. “I didn’t quite buy it. I don’t think you should vote for somebody just because they’re tall, thin, yellow, green, whatever.”
He went on to bash both Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and GOP front-runner Donald Trump, the former for his out-there policy ideas and the latter for his comments about Mexican immigrants.
Allen is an outspoken Republican and supporter of Ohio Gov. John Kasich, though he thinks Kasich’s messages are being drowned out by the bombastic soundbites of his GOP opponents.
“He’s a Republican that Democrats would vote for, a Republican the Republicans should respect,” the former “Home Improvement” star said. “But he’s not saying provocative things. He’s not glib enough or he doesn’t speak well enough because somehow he doesn’t get traction. So we’ll end up with somebody scary.”
As frightening as the idea of a President Trump is to Allen, he said the billionaire mogul might not be bad in the White House if his productivity matches his rhetoric.
“I’m not opposed to anybody if their workload matches their bulls–t load,” Allen said.
