Obama’s biggest fan becomes U.S.’s tallest man

Igor Vovkovinskiy already gained notoriety for being President Obama’s self-proclaimed biggest fan, but Guinness World Records confirmed Monday he’s the United States’ tallest man.

The Minnesota man measured at 7 feet, 8.33 inches during NBC’s “The Dr. Oz Show.” During the 2008 presidential election the 27-year-old wore a T-shirt to rallies that read “World’s Biggest Obama Supporter.”

At a campaign stop in Vovkovinskiy’s hometown, first lady Michelle Obama took a picture with him and in 2009 at a health insurance reform rally the president gave him a shout out.
