Code Pink gets photo op with O’Reilly

As the procession of A-list media types sauntered out of the Radio and Television Correspondents’ Association dinner Wednesday night, Code Pink saw its target.

With his chin up, hopping down the steps, Bill O’Reilly was rushed by the pink ladies who just wanted a picture with the Fox News conservative powerhouse.

But of course, they worked their banner into the picture: Fund Healthcare NOT Warfare.

They even went so far as to ask O’Reilly to wear their sign as a sash around his shoulders. He was overheard saying, “No, I won’t wear that sign as a sash.”

The interaction ended peacefully, and they posed for a long 30 seconds for photographers.

As Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele left the event, he was approached by a blogger who held his laptop up for Steele to type into.

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, leaving the scene at the same time, was overheard telling CNN political correspondent Gloria Borger, who wore a flouncy black dress, “I heard they are doing that at ABC,” commenting on Steele’s attempt at live blogging the event.

Most people in the crowd made their way to the BBC afterparty, where the schmooze-fest continued.

Some of the big names spotted were Megyn Kelly, John King, Bret Baier, Dana Bash, Brianna Keilar, Griff Jenkins, Ed Henry, David Shuster, Contessa Brewer and Trace Gallagher.

And who was actually dancing? A well-dressed Roland Martin with CBS intern Elyssa Dornic.
