Bush: Trump ‘has no clue what he’s talking about’

Jeb Bush capped off a three-day swing through Iowa with a series of attacks on Donald Trump. The former Florida governor took to the radio and an appearance on cable television to slam Trump’s candidacy.

Bush told WBZ radio that Trump’s remarks on dealing with Russian President Vladimir Putin show why Trump should not hold the nation’s highest office.

“The front-runner in your campaign, Donald Trump, says go ahead, let Russia bomb ISIS, but we have competing objectives there,” said the Boston radio host.

“We do and that’s why Donald Trump shouldn’t be president of the United States. He has no clue what he’s talking about,” Bush said. “Putin is not interested in partnering with us to take out ISIS. He’s there to prop up the brutal Assad regime.”

Bush also criticized Trump during an appearance on Fox News, and chastised Trump for getting his information “from websites” and Sunday talk shows.

“Donald Trump’s a really capable politician, he’s just not qualified to be president,” Bush said. “He’s not a serious person.”

Bush and Trump are scheduled to appear within hours of one another at a Republican Jewish Coalition event in Washington, D.C., on Thursday. Trump, who ranks first in the Washington Examiner‘s GOP presidential power rankings, leads a new national survey from Quinnipiac University. Bush finished fifth in the same national survey.
