Hillary Clinton easily won Tennessee in her battle for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Clinton was beating her rival Sen. Bernie Sanders 66 percent to 32 percent, with more than 85 percent of precincts reporting Tuesday night.
Clinton had spent Sunday campaigning in Tennessee, making stops in Nashville and Memphis, where she discussed her desire to expand Medicaid under President Obama’s healthcare law and reforming the criminal justice system.
She invested significant time and energy in Tennessee, holding campaign rallies in November at historically black colleges in Nashville and Memphis and forming a leadership council that includes top Democratic legislators, congressmen and party fundraisers in the state.
It’s her second win in Tennessee, after she easily beat Obama for the state back in their 2008 presidential contest. Polls last month showed her with a 26-point lead over Sanders.
Tennessee will send 67 delegates to the Democratic National Convention.
