Sarah Jessica Parker was twice spotted around town this week, first checking into the W Hotel on Sunday and at a White House ceremony honoring recipients of the 2011 National Medal of Arts and National Humanities Medal on Monday. Looking fresh in a hot pink scarf, the “Sex and the City” star and member of the awarding committee joined actor John Lithgow in the East Room as President Obama distributed the honors. Honorees included country singer Mel Tillis and actor Al Pacino. Pacino got a hug from Obama, plus praise for his “signature intensity on the silver screen.”
