RNC uses reality television to explain Obama’s politics

How best to describe President Obama’s political network in Chicago? Through a television network — based on reality, of course.

The Republican National Committee created a short video parodying the hottest reality television shows to mock (and explain) Obama’s Chicago connections. The mock network is called the Obama Chicago Network, or OCN, because, as the announcer says, “It’s not TV, it’s reality.”

What can you expect from the 57-second short? Robert Gibbs on “Dancing With the Law,” Joe Sestak on “Job or No Job,” Rod Blagojevich with an appearance from Rahm Emanuel on “I’m a Politician, Get Me Out of Here,” to name a few.

“Whenever we can, we try to find new ways to talk about the serious challenges we all face,” RNC spokesman Doug Heye told Yeas & Nays about the video.

The DNC did not respond to a request for comment by press time.
