The D.C. media scene was buzzing on Thursday as news circulation about the parting of WTOP and long-time political reporter Mark Plotkin. The Post’s Erik Wemple confirmed that a company-wide email was circulated Thursday morning stating that Plotkin’s Friday Politics Program had been cancelled and that he was no longer with the station. No on-the-record details have emerged as to what exactly went down or where Plotkin might end up. “Things happen. But I’m fine. Really, I’m fine,” Plotkin told Bruce DePuyt of NewsChannel 8.
