Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Wednesday taunted Fox News and Megyn Kelly again, by saying he was resisting the urge to call her a “bimbo,” and would instead opt for softer language.
“I refuse to call Megyn Kelly a bimbo, because that would not be politically correct,” Trump said Wednesday on Twitter. “Instead I will only call her a lightweight reporter!”

Trump announced the day before that he plans to skip the next GOP debate, which will be hosted by Fox News on Thursday and will serve as the last chance for all of the candidates to face each other on one stage. He said he’ll be bypassing the debate because it will be co-moderated by Kelly, who Trump has repeatedly accused of being unfair to him.
“I think she’s a third-rate reporter,” Trump said at a press conference.
Fox has responded to Trump by mocking him in press releases, suggesting that he’s being unnecessarily defensive and sensitive.
On her show Tuesday, Kelly said that the debate will go on “with or without Mr. Trump.”
The statement put out yesterday by @FoxNews was a disgrace to good broadcasting and journalism. Who would ever say something so nasty & dumb

But Trump and his campaign have said the fight with Kelly is what started the fight between him and the network, and said it was Fox News’ mocking statement on Tuesday that prompted Trump to pull out of Thursday’s debate.
