GQ gives Colbert its Patriot Award

Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert will grace the December cover of GQ magazine and is being recognized with the “Patriot of the Year” award in the 2010 Men of the Year issue.

Jim Nelson, editor-in-chief of GQ, told Yeas & Nays on Tuesday the “fundit” was chosen because “Colbert represents what every patriotic American needs to get through these bitter times: a sense of humor.”

You can pick up your copy of the glossy when it hits newsstands Nov. 23.
