Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said she finds Donald Trump’s rhetoric about foreign policy terrifying.
Albright, a fan of Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, drew a sharp contrast between Trump and Clinton’s approaches to foreign policy.
“Whenever anything is said by Donald Trump, it is scary, I think,” she told CNN on Wednesday. “And we have an opportunity as never before as to have somebody who is really ready to be commander in chief and president because of her experience.”
Albright has not shied away from using frightening language on the campaign trail herself, having previously told Democratic women that there is a “special place in hell” for those who don’t vote for Clinton.
After Clinton’s big wins on Super Tuesday, her message, and that of her surrogates, appears aimed at the general election.
