Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump said he associates Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton with the word “evil.”
Trump was asked on MSNBC to play a word association game with the names of the other presidential candidates. When it came to Clinton, Trump paused and then said, “In a certain way, evil. In a certain way, evil.”
“Whoa,” said co-host Mika Brzezinski before moving on to ask about Hillary’s husband, former president Bill Clinton.
Of him, Trump said, “Intelligent.”
Clinton and Trump have traded shots at each other throughout the primary season. Trump has repeatedly attacked Clinton on her email controversy, often saying that her reliance on a private email address while she was secretary of state amounted to criminal activity.
In December at a campaign rally, Trump mocked Clinton for taking a restroom break during one of the Democratic debates. Clinton responded by saying in an interview that Trump has a “penchant for sexism.”
Trump turned up the heat by recalling Bill Clinton’s history of sex scandals and allegations.
The Clinton campaign did not return a request for comment from the Washington Examiner media desk.
