Florida Sen. Marco Rubio unveiled a new television ad set to air in the early nominating states of New Hampshire and South Carolina starting on Wednesday.
The ad shows a clip of Rubio appearing on the GOP presidential debate stage saying Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton should be disallowed from running for president.
“Hillary Clinton is disqualified from being commander-in-chief of the United States,” Rubio is shown saying in the 30-second spot. “Someone who cannot handle intelligence information appropriately cannot be commander-in-chief. And someone who lies to the families of those four victims of Benghazi can never be President of the United States.
“When I am president, we are going to win this war on ISIS. The most powerful military in the world is going to destroy them, and if we capture any of them alive, they are getting a one-way ticket to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and we are going to find out everything they know.”
While the Rubio campaign ads attack Clinton, his supporters have run ads going after his GOP rivals. Conservative Solutions PAC, a pro-Rubio political action committee, released new ads showing an image of Cruz inside a Canadian maple leaf.
Rubio is campaigning in New Hampshire on Wednesday and will deliver a speech to the state House. The senator ranks third in the Washington Examiner‘s newest GOP presidential power rankings.
