Of the “Glee” cast, Lauren Potter has probably spent the most time doing advocacy work in D.C. And now she’s getting some official recognition for it. Earlier this week, President Obama announced his intent to appoint Potter to the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities, according to CNN. Potter, who plays Becky Jackson on the show, and has Down Syndrome, was clearly gleeful about the appointment. “I never thought I could be an actress, but I am,” she said in a statement. “I never thought I would be a presidential appointee and I am!”
