Donald Trump on Tuesday said he has another big endorsement that will be unveiled today, just days after Sarah Palin endorsed the Republican frontrunner.
“We have a very powerful endorsement coming today,” Trump said on Morning Joe Tuesday morning, although he refused to say who it was.
“So many people want to endorse us because Ted Cruz, they think he’s wacky,” he added. “At least some people like Obama, nobody likes Ted. There’s something missing there, there’s something wrong.”
Trump and Cruz are in a dead heat in Iowa, the national frontrunner has taken numerous shots at the Cruz campaign. Trump has recently taken to questioning whether or not Cruz is even eligible for the Oval Office, due to his Canadian birth, stating that “Ted’s got some problems.”
“The founders created a very good system but in order for it to work you have to have people go along with you and that’s the problem with Ted Cruz,” he said. “He’s guy that nobody likes and nobody trusts and he is a nasty guy. He says things that are very nasty, so I have to be nastier than him. Its just one of those things.”‘
