‘Sex’ and Milano
Following Monday night’s performance of “Betrayed” at the Kennedy Center, hosts Sarah Jessica Parker and Matt Dillon repaired to Café Milano for a very private and very late dinner (it ended at 1:30 a.m.) with some local VIPs. Parker’s brother, Pippin Parker, directed the one-night only performance, a benefit for Refugees International, on whose board Dillon serves.
Dinner co-host Rachel Pearson and Parker had plenty to talk about, besides both being native Ohioans. Pearson is an ex-staffer to former Sen. Mike DeWine, and Parker’s new series, “Washingtonienne,” is loosely based on Jessica Cutler, the now-infamous DeWine aide who blogged about her sexual exploits.
Parker revealed that she was sad not to be returning for Washington for the inaugural, having been such an ardent supporter of Obama for the past year, but that she would be watching every minute of it on television with her household’s biggest Obama fan, her five-year old son James.
Organizers said Dillon revealed a surprising level of knowledge about world issues — maybe because he doesn’t watch much TV. He said he doesn’t even watch his brother’s show, “Entourage.”
Parker arrived earlier in the day on an Acela train. She stayed at the Donovan House, the new — and evidently celeb-friendly — downtown hotel where Kate Beckinsale and Samantha Ronson/Lindsay Lohan have recently stayed.
