Donald Trump lambasted Ted Cruz’s decision to axe his communications director.
Trump used Twitter to chastise the Texas senator for being ‘disloyal’ to Rick Tyler, who was forced out of the Cruz campaign on Monday. Cruz got rid of Tyler purportedly because of the spokesman’s role in spreading a story that contained misinformation about an opponent, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.
“Wow was Ted Cruz disloyal to his very capable director of communication. He used him as a scape goat-fired like a dog! Ted panicked,” Trump tweeted.

Trump appears to have an odd fixation with describing all sorts of human behavior as “like a dog,” including job terminations, cheating, begging, sweating, choking, and being excluded from an event. He has also described Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington as a dog.
Donald Trump ranks first in the Washington Examiner‘s newest GOP presidential power rankings.
UPDATE: Trump sent a follow up tweet writing, “Ted Cruz lifts the Bible high into the air and then lies like a dog-over and over again! The Evangelicals in S.C. figured him out & said no!”
