It was a Tweet sent from one Wolf to another that got the ball rolling.
“Shakira’s new album is ‘She Wolf.’ With that title, shouldn’t I invite her to join me in the SitRoom? She Wolf and He Wolf,” CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Tweeted to the petite Latina pop star.
Two weeks later, Blitzer got the girl.
Shakira, visiting Miami, appeared remotely on “The Situation Room” and was interviewed by Blitzer. This being CNN, we’re told that the two Wolfs discussed universal education, about which Shakira recently gave a speech at Oxford.
But there was also some back-and-forth banter on what inspired Shakira to name the new album after a wolf. (We’re guessing it wasn’t fully inspired by Wolf Blitzer). The interview airs Wednesday.
If Wolf is so canny on inviting subjects with similar names, will Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino from MTV’s “Jersey Shore” be next?
