Speakeasy: Bachmann criticism “not about gender”

“It’s not about gender. It’s about the issues and it’s about results and it’s about leading and saving our country … Everything she’s led the charge against, she’s failed to accomplish. That’s not gonna be good enough for our nominee for president of the United States.”

– Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who on Friday defended comments he made in a heated exchange with Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann during Thursday night’s presidential debate, where he called her an ineffective member of Congress and named several laws that President Obama and Congressional Democrats have passed since 2009. “If that’s your view of effective results, please stop,” Pawlenty said. “You’re killing us.”
