For once, Donald Trump is happy with Hillary Clinton.
Hours before the first Democratic debate Tuesday, Trump told Fox News’ Neil Cavuto that Clinton’s stop at a union rally outside of Trump’s hotel in Las Vegas Monday was a net positive because she “gave it great publicity.”
“Actually, that was good because she gave the casino, she gave the hotel, it’s a beautiful hotel, tallest building in Las Vegas. She gave it great publicity,” Trump told Cavuto. “So in a certain way, I think it was good.”
Trump went on to say he has “great relationships” with his workers, telling the host that his workers have been unsuccessful in unionizing at the location for the last few years. He did concede that unionization might take place in the future.
“The people in the building have been very happy,” Trump said. “Don’t forget, the union’s been trying this for about two or three years and they’ve been failing every time.”
Clinton made the stop Monday evening alongside 500 members of the Culinary Workers Union of Nevada.
“Some people think Trump is entertaining, but it is not entertaining to insult immigrants and women,” Clinton said.
“If you are going to run for president, then represent all of the people of the United States,” Clinton told the crowd. “I wanted to come by to lend my voice to all yours and I wish you well in these efforts.”
While the former secretary of state is set to participate in the first Democratic debate Tuesday night, Trump will be live tweeting the event.
