“The Conspirator” director, actor and activist Robert Redford took to the blogs Thursday, voicing his opposition to the Pebble Mine in Alaska. On the Huffington Post, Redford wrote that the mine, which is a gold and copper deposit, could harm a large deposit of salmon nearby, the AP reported. He’s not against mining, he wrote, just against “putting mega-mines where they don’t belong.”
