New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie told an Iowa crowd that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is “nothing more than a less-experienced Barack Obama” who has eliminated her own personality on the campaign trail.
Christie said he “tortured” himself by watching Sunday night’s Democratic presidential debate and learned that there can be no doubt Clinton would function as the third term of President Obama.
“If there was any doubt left that Hillary Clinton would be nothing more than a third term of Barack Obama, she put it to rest last night, didn’t she?” Christie said. “I mean it is clear now she has decided if there was ever anything inside Hillary Clinton that was different than Barack Obama, if there ever was, it’s gone. She’s exorcised it. She must have had an exorcism somewhere and any of her own personality that was left is gone out of there and now she is occupying the mind and body of Barack Obama.”
Christie continued to say that he was waiting to hear one original idea from Clinton during the debate, but never heard one from Clinton. Eventually, the governor said, he turned the channel on his hotel room’s television to ESPN, which he said he would have rather watched all along.
The New Jersey governor ranks fourth in the Washington Examiner‘s newest GOP presidential power rankings.
