Jeb Bush has released a one-minute, 30-second video ahead of the official presidential campaign launch he’s planning Monday.
The video features a voice-over of the former Florida governor, saying: “If I’m going to go beyond the consideration of running for the highest office in the land, I need to share my heart to show a little bit about my life experience.”
Bush released the video around the same time Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton was busy kicking off her own presidential bid with a rally in New York on Saturday.
Entitled “Jeb: Today and Tomorrow,” the clip touches generally on what Bush did during his eight years as governor, including his reforms to the university system that resulted in more minority students enrolling.
Bush also talks about his wife, who he met in Mexico. “It was love at first sight,” he says.
Polls generally show Bush leading among an increasingly crowded GOP primary field, but he’s closely flanked by Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.
