Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders says GOP front-runner Donald Trump is causing campaign trail violence.
Trump is “leaning too much in the direction of violence,” Sen. Sanders of Vermont told CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday. “Trump himself I think is the primary cause of it.”
“As I understand it, Donald Trump’s own campaign manager is now up on charges for assaulting a female reporter,” Sanders added, referring to a Brietbart News reporter filing assault charges against Trump aide Corey Lewandowski in Florida.
“He has absolutely got to tone it down.”
