DES MOINES, Iowa – Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, called Donald Trump’s decision to forgo Thurday’s debate a direct affront to Iowa voters and the caucus system.
“This is a job interview,” said King. “He skipped the job interiew … It’s direct disrepect.”
King furthered his criticism by noting how Trump attacked former Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., attributing her 2012 caucus performance to not participating in a debate he hosted.
