Mitt Romney leads Hillary Clinton in Iowa in a theoretical 2016 matchup, according to a new poll.
A Bloomberg/Des Moines Register poll found that 44 percent of likely Iowa voters would vote for Romney if the 2016 general election were held today, compared to 43 percent for Clinton.
The poll was conducted of 1,000 Iowa residents who are likely voters in the 2014 general election. The margin of error was plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
