Spotted on Capitol Hill on Tuesday night: a slew of Pittsburghers including Pittsburgh Steelers football great Franco Harris and actor David Newell, dressed up as his character, Mr. McFeely, from the children’s program “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.”
Both were in town to watch a screening of filmmaker Carl Kurlander’s Pittsburgh-themed documentary, “My Tale of Two Cities.”
Kurlander is a Pittsburgh native, but has a D.C. connection too: He wrote the screenplay for the 1980s hit “St. Elmo’s Fire,” which was shot in Georgetown.
