Attention, D.C. drinking (and “Boardwalk Empire”) enthusiasts: Mickey Doyle is coming to town.
Paul Sparks, who plays Mickey on the hit HBO drama, will be around to help Washingtonians celebrate Repeal Day, which marked the end of Prohibition, on Saturday. Sparks will be drinking Batch 19 beer, which was created from a Prohibition-era recipe, at a bar crawl leading up to a midnight toast celebrating the occcasion.
So, where can you catch the action?
Sparks will be at We, The Pizza (305 Pennsylvania Ave. SE) starting at 9 p.m. Saturday. From there, the party moves to Pour House (319 Pennsylvania Ave. SE) at 10 p.m. At 11, Sparks will reset at 18th Amendment (613 Pennsylvania Ave. SE, and, appropriately named after the amendment that kicked off Prohibition) where he lead a toast a midnight to honor Repeal Day.
Cheers.
