Marco Rubio got some heat from NBC’s Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon Thursday night for his sense of fashion.
The Florida senator was criticized a couple of weeks ago when he was spotted by the media wearing heel boots on the campaign trail, a move Fallon could not resist bringing up on the show.
Just as Rubio walked onto the set and sat down next to Fallon, the host nonchalantly put his feet up on the desk, showing off his two-inch heel black boots.
“Do you like my boots?” Fallon asked.
“I do,” Rubio said. “Can I keep them? I need a backup pair. I need one in Iowa and one in New Hampshire.”
Rubio has not sported the boots in public since he was criticized for wearing boots with a big heel, but admitted he will pull them out on weekends.
